Founded as Kendrick & Associates in 1996, The Kendrick Group, LLC grew
out of political consulting and lobbying for telecomm and educational
issues. In 1998, when the Federal Communications Commission, by mandate
of the 1996 Telecommunications Act, created the Universal Service Fund
Schools and Libraries Program known as E-Rate we saw the challenge and
rose to meet it.
Gary Kendrick the founder took his knowledge of the system and his many
years as an executive in private business and started helping schools
navigate this difficult and challenging program.
Since The Kendrick Group’s inception we have obtained over $120 million
for our clients since 1998. For the first time ever we are opening up
our client roster and accepting more clients. Until now our clients have
been referred to us by many different sources. We have kept the list
small to ensure quality of service. Now our new automation allows us to
accept more clients and provide better services.
We have developed the on-line tools to help small districts file their
own application without having to pay the full cost of a consultant. We
are targeting the smaller districts that find the challenges of filing
E-Rate application and more importantly navigating the minefield of
rules that are all too easy to violate by accident. The most feared
contact is that letter notifying you of a coming audit. We have been
through many full audits successfully. We are also experienced at filing
appeals both at the USAC level and the FCC level.
Our minimum service provides you access to the on-line tools and allows
you to submit your questions to us via email or our on-line form.
You will be able to view all of your E-Rate funding going back to 1998.
You can quickly view each FRN as you need. More importantly is our
E-Binder modeled after the outline USAC has suggested all districts
follow. You will simply upload your files to our servers and we will
retain them for you. You will have access from any location.
We will also provide you with emails notifying you of deadlines
approaching so you never miss filing a Form 486 or getting that
invoicing completed on time. Our system will remind you weekly up to the
deadline. If you do not respond then we will contact you prior to the
deadline to ensure you stay in compliance.
We know E-Rate is a burden for most districts. Our current client roster
includes districts with just under 90,000 students all the way down to
those smaller districts with under 5,000 students. Our goal is to
provide the most cost effective service to your district. For those who
require more help we have service plans that will be scaled to meet your
needs including full compliance at the best cost to your district. In
this most difficult economy public dollars are hard to come by and we
intend to ensure that your return on our fees is high enough to justify
our services. We take great pride in the amount of funding we obtain for
our clients.
There are many consulting firms out there all professing to be the best
there is. We simply will prove it with our customized services for your
district. We host our own servers in our office and write our own custom
